About

Keon Taylor

Point guard first, brand-builder second — and the second one grew out of the first.

Born in Chester, Pennsylvania on 10 February 1999, Keon Taylor played high school basketball at Mount Pleasant in Wilmington, Delaware, graduating in 2017. He went to Alvernia University in Reading, Pennsylvania, and stayed five seasons.

He arrived as a freshman playing 18 minutes a night and averaging 4.4 points. By his sophomore year he was starting all 25 games, playing 36 minutes and running the offence at 5.4 assists a game. As a junior he led the team in assists with 124. In the shortened 2021 season he averaged 20 points, six rebounds and five assists across eight games and shot 50% from three. In his final year he averaged 16.5 points and joined Alvernia's 1000 Point Club, taking MAC Commonwealth First Team honours for the second time.

He finished with 110 college games, career averages of 12.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists, and a Communication degree. He went undrafted in 2022 and signed with Irbis Almaty in Kazakhstan, where he played two games in the 2022–23 season.

Since then he's been based in New York, building two streetwear labels — wearkylo, which trades at wearkt.com, and 1999xkt, which runs on Instagram.
